Here is something you might find helpful as you seek the LORD and search for ways to grow in your relationship with God.

1. GOD FIRST: Put the Lord first in every area of your life.
 “But seek first His Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6.33

2. OTHERS SECOND: Put others interests before your own.
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4.10

3. I’M THIRD: Always put yourself last.
 “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus, who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing.” Philippians 2.5

4. HONOR FAMILY: Respect and love your family.
 “Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord God is giving you.” Exodus 20.12

5. STRENGTHEN FAITH: Practice the spiritual disciplines.
(Worship, Prayer, Study, Service, Celebration & Fasting)
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3.3.

6. SERVE COMMUNITY: Develop a passion for serving others.
“Serve with your whole heart as if you were serving the Lord and not people.” Ephesians 6.7

7. STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE: Try your best, no matter what.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” 1 Corinthians 9.24
