Tent Revival {Very Cool Photo Essay}

Tent Revival 2011 rocked! Over 160 participants praised God during 5 times of worship, joined in a "Nation Prayer Walk", and enjoyed awesome fun and fellowship. Thanks for all who helped make it another amazing SWTC Youth Ministry event. God is in this place and we give Jesus all the praise. Join us next year 10.13-14.12!

Tent Revival is a return to the days of the early Methodist movement when camp and revival meetings were the norm, not the exception. Tent Revival is a time for worship, confession, revival, renewal and fellowship for youth. It’s open to any student from 6th to 12th grade of any church or denomination. It’s for all who want to come and see that the Lord is good.

What’s the Purpose?
Tent Revival will focus on worship in the Tabernacle (a free standing tent set up for the event.)  Participants will be invited to 5 times of worship in the Tabernacle as well as time optional times of prayer. Prepare to relax, hang near the river, and enjoy times of fellowship and meals, and most of all - be engaged in a spirit of revival, prayer and worship for the LORD.

What to Expect? A 24-hour retreat focused on prayer, worship and fellowship. Three meals will be provided - lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday breakfast. The registration fee for both youth and adults is $60 which covers all meals and snacks.

What to Bring? Bring your own tent for sleeping. We will not provide these. Youth groups coming together may share tents. (no mixed gender tents permitted).  Youth may come without a supervising adult as we will have staff to help supervise; however, adult sponsors are welcome and must have passed the criminal background check and Child Protection Training. Please bring a sleeping bag, rain gear, swim suit, a towel, a Bible, a change of clothes, bug spray and personal toiletries.  Bathrooms will be available but no shower facilities.

Where is it located? Tent Revival is located at a private ranch in Spring Branch, Texas, approximately 40 miles north of San Antonio off Hwy 281. The address of ranch is 7150 Rebecca Creek Road, Spring Branch TX. (signs will mark entrance) From Hwy 281 N / Rebecca Creek Road intersection (also a large golf ball marks this intersection) the ranch is 6 miles to the east on Rebecca Creek Road.

Who will be leading? Assorted SWTC worship bands such as Mark Swayze, Dave Stewart and Zach Huckabee and assorted speakers will be gathering at the Tent Revival. Students will be encouraged to come prepared to worship, share, participate and seek God with their whole hearts.
